摘要
Podocytes are terminally differentiated kidney cells that are vital to kidney filter function. Podocyte injury and loss is central to the pathogenesis of proteinuric kidney diseases. Conditionally-immortalized differentiated mouse podocytes and human kidney organoids provide in vitro models to test hypotheses regarding mechanisms of podocyte injury and responses to treatment. To assess the maturity of cultured mouse podocytes and podocyte-like cells in human kidney organoids, we characterized transcriptomic changes of podocyte differentiation at single-cell resolution.
