ANÁLISIS FÍSICO Y GERMINACIÓN DE SEMILLAS DE Austrochthamalia teyucuarensis H. A. KELLER, ENDÉMICA DEL BOSQUE ATLÁNTICO Y EN PELIGRO DE EXTINCIÓN

El sustrato influye en la germinacion y el analisis biometrico de semillas y frutos es fundamental para caracterizar la especie. El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar las caracteristicas fisicas de frutos y semillas y su germinacion en papel, arena, perlita y arenisca como sustratos. Los frutos de A. teyucuarensis cosechados, en abril de 2017 en la reserva de Teyu Cuare, localidad de San Ignacio, Misiones, Argentina, presentaron longitud promedio de 6.02±0.99 cm, anchura de 3.25±0.52 cm, peso promedio de 25.59±1.71 g y cantidad de semillas por fruto de 59.17±28.72. Las semillas fueron elipsoides-aplanadas, color castano oscuro a marron claro, con longitud de 8.82±0.47 mm, anchura de 6.61±0.31 mm, y biomasa promedio de 49.46±8.04 mg. La germinacion (85.55±1.92 %) y velocidad de germinacion (3.46±0.21 semillas por dia) mayores se presentaron en la perlita y la supervivencia mayor de plantas se obtuvo en la arenisca. El tipo de sustrato afecta la germinacion de A. teyucuarensis y su conservacion a largo plazo. EnglishAustrochthamalia teyucuarensis H. The objective of this study was to analyze the physical characteristics of fruits and seeds and their germination in substrates of paper, sand, perlite and sandstone. The fruits of A. teyucuarensis harvested in April 2017 in the Teyu Cuare reserve, San Ignacio, Misiones, Argentina, presented an average length of 6.02±0.99 cm, 3.25±0.52 cm wide, average weight of 25.59±1.71 g and seeds per fruit amounting to 59.17±28.72. The seeds were ellipsoid-flattened, dark brown to light brown, of 8.82±0.47 mm long, width of 6.61±0.31 mm, and an average biomass of 49.46±8.04 mg. The germination (85.55±1.92%) and speed of germination (3.46±0.21 seeds per day) were greater in perlite and the greater survival of plants was observed in the sandstone. The type of substrate affects the germination of A. teyucuarensis and its long-term conservation.
