Abstract
•Preparation of HA/Fe3O4 microspheres by two steps of hydrothermal method without adding any templating agent.•The HA/Fe3O4 microspheres with an average particle size of ∼1 μm were completely covered by hydroxyapatite (HA) nanoparticles.•The prepared microspheres has excellent biocompatibility and biological activity.
