Antifungal activity of Juglans spp. and Carya sp. ethanol extracts against Fusarium oxysporum on tomato under greenhouse conditions

•Ethanol extracts of nogalillos showed antifungal effect against Fusarium oxysporum.•Juglans mollis leaves at 4000 mg L−1 was the best treatment to control Fusarium wilt.•The compounds identified in nogalillos were polyphenols, terpenoids, and fatty acids.•Nogalillos extracts may be a natural alternative to the use of synthetic fungicides.
