An ultra-high magnifying endoscopy system, known as an endocytoscopy system (ECS), that enables microscopic observation at the cellular level has recently been introduced. However, in many previous studies on an ECS, the ability to distinguish tumorous lesions and surrounding normal mucosa was mainly evaluated. There has been little discussion about whether endoscopists, not pathologists, can diagnose ECS findings precisely.
