Endoscopic ultrasound guided liver biopsy (EUS-LB) has recently emerged as an alternative to the percutaneous approach. The introduction of EUS-LB offers the advantage of obtaining focal biopsies with limited adverse outcomes. Biopsy technique, however, has yet to be standardized amongst endoscopists and thus, significant procedural variability exists.
