550 OUTCOMES ON THE USE OF HEMOSPRAY IN UPPER GASTROINTESTINAL BLEEDS SECONDARY TO PEPTIC ULCERS: PROSPECTIVE MULTICENTRE INTERNATIONAL HEMOSPRAY REGISTRY

Peptic ulcers are the commonest cause of upper Gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding (UGIB). The mortality from GI bleeding remains high at 7% and unchanged despite endoscopic advances. Hemospray (Cook Medical, North Carolina, USA) is a novel haemostatic powder aimed to treat GI bleeding. The aim of this study is to look at outcomes in GI bleeds secondary to peptic ulcer disease (PUD) treated with hemospray in 13 centres, and examine outcomes based on baseline ulcer morphology based on the Forrest classification.
