Abstract
There are validated tools that assess competence in cognitive and motor skills of endoscopy, however, there is currently no established method of assessing endoscopic efficiency, an important skill in assessing readiness for independent practice. We propose polypectomy efficiency (PE) and neoplastic polypectomy efficiency (NPE) as surrogates of colonoscopy efficiency.
