Development of an LC-MS/MS method for quantitative analysis of Chlorogenic acid in human plasma and its application to a pharmacokinetic study in Chinese patients with advanced solid tumor.

•The proposed method was plasma- and time-saving and high-throughput.•Simple sample pretreatment method with high accuracy and precision was built.•The LC–MS method was fully validated for determination of CGA in human plasma.•The method was applied to analyze samples from Chinese patient in a clinical trial.•The PK parameters of CGA in Chinese patient with advanced solid tumor were acquired.
