Efficacy of ω-3 supplementation on nutritional status, skeletal muscle, and chemoradiotherapy toxicity in cervical cancer patients: A randomized, triple-blind, clinical trial conducted in a middle-income country.

•This was the first randomized controlled trial focusing on ω-3 supplementation in cervical cancer.•We used an innovative methodology for skeletal muscle quality assessment.•The results suggested a protective role of ω-3 in skeletal muscle quality.•Supplementation with ω-3 significantly reduced chemoradiotherapy toxicity.
