Abstract

•A series of novel steroidal 1,3,4-thiadiazines were synthesized.•Their antiproliferative activity against androgen receptor-positive prostate cancer cells was investigated.•Effects of lead compounds on the signaling pathways in 22Rv1 cells were evaluated.•Lead compounds were shown to elicit apoptosis in the androgen receptor-positive prostate cancer 22Rv1 cells.
