Analysis of the correlation between bacteria and fungi in sugarcane tops silage prior to and after aerobic exposure.

•From d 6 to d 60 of ensilage, the abundance of Lactobacillus sharply increased.•After aerobic exposure, Ascomycota was the only phylum observed.•Pichia was the dominant fungi after aerobic exposure.•Pichia was positively correlated with Lactobacillus, Clostridium and Pediococcus.•Clostridium was positively correlated with Aspergillus, Fusarium and Candida.
