Analysis of Key Cognitive Factors in Space Teleoperation Task.

Teleoperation is always a challenging task due to the lack of sense of immediacy and insufficient information for operation. Robotic arm operation in space used for transporting astronauts during the extra-vehicle activities or docking spaceships is one of such tasks. In this study, we proposed a simplified hierarchical model that could describe the space teleoperation process. And according to this model, the cognitive factors that might influence the teleoperation task were analyzed. In order to verify the hierarchical model and the effects of the factors, an experiment was conducted via a computer simulation platform.
