A large scale meta analysis identifies common adverse events with checkpoint inhibitors vs chemotherapy in melanoma patients

•Common adverse events were compared in melanoma patients who treated with checkpoint inhibitors or chemotherapy/placebo.•There was no difference of total adverse effect events in intervention group and control group.•Some side effects were statistically significant between the intervention group and control group, and some were not.•Maybe it could provide a few tips for doctor when they give checkpoint inhibitors to melanoma patients.
