Abstract
As a result of an ongoing taxonomic revision of some sections of Clusia, I describe, compare, and illustrate two new species from Brazil and Venezuela. Clusia amaraliana belongs to C. sect. Bachystemon and vegetatively does not resemble any other species of that section. Clusia bittrichii belongs to C. sect. Oedematopus, being part of a group of species that have the androecium composed of stamens with the anthers longer than the filaments.
