•Multi-secret image sharing schemes have high computational complexity in decoding.•Arithmetic modulo-based scheme has low computational complexity but is not secure.•To overcome these issues, arithmetic operation-based scheme is proposed.•Proposed scheme fulfills security criterion and reduces computational complexity.•Company organizer can utilize universal share for managing multiple secrets.
