Abstract
Brucellosis is a zoonotic infection transmitted to humans from animals. Its clinical symptoms are nonspecific, and diagnosis is often missed or delayed. Osteoarticular sites are most commonly involved. However, this study presents a rare case involving the symphysis pubis. The lesions were considered to be in the early stage and showed small round or lamellar destruction under the surface of the pubis near the disc, with widening and destruction of the symphysis pubis and bone marrow edema, which differed from previous reports in the literature. The purpose of this study is to emphasize that CT and MRI findings may be helpful in the diagnosis of Brucella osteomyelitis of the symphysis pubis, particularly in the early stage.
