摘要
Bipolar disorder frequently presents as a series of depressive episodes prior to the appearance of the first manic or hypomanic swing. This is significant as alternate treatment approaches are indicated for bipolar disorder, however these approaches cannot be instituted in the absence of any useful diagnostic markers to identify people who are likely to develop bipolar disorder. This study examined if electrophysiological measures could differentiate individuals with major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder and healthy controls.
