Abstract
EEG microstates (EEG-ms) reflect spatio-temporal dynamic brain neuronal activity, with quasi-stationary EEG global field power topographies that are typically classified into four distinct classes (coined EEG-ms A through D). EEG-ms classes have been associated with large-scale fMRI brain networks, suggesting that examining how EEG-ms characteristics relate to mental disorders may reveal how mental disorders affect brain function and dynamics.
