Exploring the importance of mixed autogenous vaccines as a potential determinant of lung consolidation in lambs using Bayesian networks

•A Bayesian network has been developed to evaluate the effect of autogenous vaccines on lung consolidation.•An experiment with 460 fattening lambs has been performed by applying four autogenous vaccines.•Mixed autogenous vaccines could be considered as an effective control tool against ovine respiratory complex.•Bayesian networks may be used to help in the prevention of lung consolidation.
