The Kahn degenerate frustration points and the Lieb-Mattis level order in heterometallic wheel molecules with competing interactions

•Heterometallic wheels show the universal sequence of the ground state total spin.•Large central spin modifies this sequence comparing with homometallic systems.•In a range of parameter the ground state is retained despite competing interactions.•In the other domain a wide magnetization plateau is observed.
