Mixed lump-stripe, bright rogue wave-stripe, dark rogue wave-stripe and dark rogue wave solutions of a generalized Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation in fluid mechanics

•Lump wave-soliton and rogue wave-soliton solutions are given via the symbolic computation.•Four different phenomena between a lump wave and one soliton are investigated.•Interactions between a rogue wave and a pair of solitons are graphically discussed.•Dark rogue wave is studied.
