摘要
The Standalone Photovoltaic System (SPVS) generally uses an energy storage device alongside the PV system. This necessitates the use of a supervisory controller in order to control the power flow within the interconnected system, which increases the complexity of the overall system. In this paper, a simple Power Management Scheme (PMS) has been introduced which controls the voltage of the DC-Link in order to indirectly control the power flow. A bidirectional converter (BDC) is used as an interface between the battery and the DC-Link of the SPVS. The BDC is operated in voltage control mode using a PI controller to regulate the DC-Link voltage, which in turn controls the power flow. The different possible modes of power flow between the PV array, battery and the load have been presented. Results of simulation and experimental studies, performed using the hardware prototype, to test the proposed scheme for different conditions of power flow have been shown. The results obtained have validated the proper functioning of the proposed DC-Link Voltage Control based PMS (DVC-PMS).
