Abstract
•Chemical (C) and non-chemical (NC) pre-storage rhizome treatments (PRT) were done.•C-PRT significantly reduced disease incidence of rhizome (DIR).•C-PRT increased incidence of sprouted plants (ISP), leaf number and plant height.•NC-PRT had partial effects on DIR, ISP, leaf number (LN) and plant height (PH).•Strong correlations were found between DIR and ISP, and between LN and PH.
