Moringa straw as cellulase production inducer and cellulolytic fungi source

•Moringa oleifera straw can used as raw material for fungal cellulases production.•This study of fungi isolated from moringa biomass show three cellulase activities when using crystalline cellulose as source carbon.•Penicillium sp. strain isolated was the most efficient on cellulase activities.•Cladosporium sp. display on crystalline cellulose their higher cellulase activities.•Fusarium sp. is a great source of β-glucosidase activity on carboxymethylcellulose.
