Magnetic core-shell S-nitrosothiols nanoparticles as tumor dual-targeting theranostic platform.

•Dual-tumor targeting theranostic platform based on magnetic nitric oxide-releasing nanoparticles was described.•External force guidance as well as internal active synergetic targeting strategy achieved targeting diagnosis and therapy.•In vitro and in vivo investigation confirmed the effective theranostic system.
