Abstract
In this paper, the web application of geographic information system (GIS) integrated with file uploading module was designed to achieve a better performance for interactive map applications. The B/S archtechture was used for the design of WebGIS system based on Spring Framework, providing features for adding and updating geospatial data as well as attribute information through the web. The novel design of map data visualization offers powerful web map applications, including features of spatial information storage and files uploading based on distributed archtechture. The successful result indicates that the enhancement of spatial analysis and data visualization based on WebGIS will support a feasible and flexible approach for interactive map applications and bring considerable economic benefits.
