•A total of 3191 DEGs were identified in ApNPV-infected hemolymph of A. pernyi.•184 and 63 DEGs involved in cellular and humoral immunity respectively were screened.•The cellular and humoral immunity of A. pernyi were inhibited by ApNPV infection.
