摘要
•Two ATP-binding cassette transporter genes (pfmdr1 and pfmdr5) sequenced in 67 P. falciparum isolates from Dakar, Senegal.•Fourteen different allelic group identified in the 67 isolates for pfmdr5.•Parasites with 8 and more than 8 repeats of DNNN motif in pfmdr5 were significantly more susceptible to piperaquine.•The wild-type allele N86 and the N86-184Y haplotype in pfmdr1 were associated with reduced susceptibility to lumefantrine.
