Abstract
•In this study, we introduce a new and simple method for metal doping of Titanium dioxide nanotubes.•Through this method, we were able to achieve uniform metal doping throughout the length of the Titanium dioxide nanotubes.•Successful tuning of electrical conductivity and bandgap was done using this cost effective electrochemical method.•DSSC efficiency was also considerably enhanced by the process of metal doping.
