Abstract
Objectives: The Enhanced Recovery After Surgery - ERAS®- program presents recognized advantages in the peri-operative multidisciplinary approach of the patient. The ERAS program has a broad coverage, which means it includes all age groups. The definition of "elderly" is a controversial subject and lacking certainties. Based on the most recent proposals of “elderly” definition, the authors intended to evaluate the ERAS® program in the elderly versus the younger population.
