摘要

•Similar genotoxicity in TGR and in vivo comet for Ames mutagens/mutagenic carcinogens.•Liver comet + MNviv test is sufficient for routine in vivo genotoxicity testing.•Generally only one site-of-contact GI tract tissue is needed for comet.•The LMN test is sufficiently validated for the development of an OECD guideline.•The Pig-a assay detects mutagens and is useful for following up positive results.
