摘要

•1,3-Di(azido-acetoxy)-2-ethyl-2-nitropropane is synthesized by a new synthetic route.•The non-isothermal kinetic equation of the exothermic process for ENPEA is studied.•The gas products of thermal decomposition are N2, NO2, NH3, HCN, CO2, and CH2O.•The adiabatic time-to-explosion is approximately 18.2 s.
