摘要
The efficacy and safety of the linear low-intensity extracorporeal shock wave therapy (Li-SWT) for erectile dysfunction (ED) is still controversial. The objective measurements are lack for Li-SWT treatment in ED patients. To evaluate the short-term efficacy and safety of the linear low-intensity extracorporeal shock wave therapy (Li-SWT) for mild and moderate erectile dysfunction (ED) in a single clinical centre. The mild and moderate ED patients whose IIEF-5 score from 8 to 21 were included in our clinical study. ED patients were divided into three groups: Li-SWT group, phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor (PDE5I) group and combined therapy group (Li-SWT + PDE5I). Patients in the Li-SWT group received shock wave therapy in left and right crura penis, and left and right corpus cavernosum for 1,600, 1,600, 900 and 900 times sequentially in an energy intensity of 0.09 mJ/mm2 by Renova therapeutic apparatus once a week in a period of continuous 4 weeks. Meanwhile, patients in PDE5I group received 25 mg sildenafil or 5 mg tadalafil every day for 1 month. All patients were subjected to follow-ups after 1 month of treatment cessation. The international index of erectile function (IIEF-5) questionnaire, conscious erectile function evaluation (nonsexual condition), erectile hardness grading score (EHGS) and nocturnal penile tumescence (NPT) test and Duplex ultrasound of penis were compared among three groups.
