Abstract
•Design principle of point-to-point cryogenic loop heat pipe (CLHP) was put up with and verified.•A CLHP was designed and manufactured with nitrogen, neon, and hydrogen was working fluids.•Several common and special characters were found comparing different working fluids.•Automatic dropping down of the primary evaporator was firstly found in H2-CLHP supercritical startup process.
