Thermally stable polybenzoxazines via tetrahydrophthalimide-functional monobenzoxazines: Synthesis, characterization and thermally activated polymerization kinetics

•Two tetrahydrophthalimide-functional benzoxazines were successfully synthesized.•Polymerization behavior and thermal properties were investigated.•Polymerization activation energy was calculated by Kissinger and Starink methods.•The predicated autocatalytic models were in excellent agreement with experimental results.
