Depth-aware saliency detection using convolutional neural networks

•We propose a depth-aware saliency model which consists of three networks.•Color saliency network, depth saliency network and saliency fusion network are jointly trained.•The depth saliency network exploits weight initialization to learn effective depth features.•The saliency fusion network can effectively integrate depth saliency map with color saliency map.•Results on five public datasets demonstrate the better performance of our model.
