Thermodynamic analysis of a novel ammonia-water power/cooling combined system with adjustable refrigeration-to-power ratio

A novel ammonia-water power/cooling combined system with adjustable mass flow ratio (refrigeration-to-power ratio) for power subcycle and refrigeration subcycle is proposed. And parameter analysis on the cycle performance is carried out. Research results show that new system can implement power/cooling regulation as required by adjustable refrigeration-to-power ratio; And sensitivity analysis shows: Efficiency of the cycle rises with the increase of turbine inlet concentration and temperature, and reduces with the increase of basic solution concentration, further research indicates there exist optimal turbine inlet pressure and refrigeration-to-power ratio to achieve the best match with the heat source and to obtain the best cycle thermal performance.
