Design and wide-bandwidth control of large aperture fast steering mirror with integrated-sensing unit

•A large aperture fast steering mirror (FSM) with integrated-sensing units is designed.•A wide-bandwidth control strategy is employed to improve the closed-loop bandwidth.•The experimental tests are carried out, which shows good tracking performance of the FSM.•The effectiveness of the designed controller is verified.
