Changes in salivary aldosterone concentrations in patients with major depressive disorder

Chapter 3 presents a radiometric model of signal return strength that can be used in conjunction with the pulse detection probability calculations of Chapter 2 to find the effective range of an APD-based range-finding or lidar system. The range error of linear-mode APD-based photoreceivers is also analyzed. Analytic models of range error dependence on photoreceiver bandwidth, laser pulse shape, and signal return strength are developed and compared to numerical simulations.
