Abstract
Background: Cancer of mid and low rectum is still under debate regarding the standard approach, minimal invasive or open, trans-anal or trans-abdominal. It is already known that high volume centers, experienced surgeons and female gender represent favorable factors for better results, however these are not homogeneously because of individual factors of the patients. The aim of the study is to analyze if measured internal pelvimetry can predict postoperative results and to guide the surgical treatment.
