The features and influential factors of interactions among ecosystem services

•Five key ecosystem services were assessed in Xilin Gol grassland of China.•The types and features of constraint effects of ecosystem services were analyzed.•Precipitation had a great impact on the interactions between ecosystem services.•NDVI did not affect the thresholds, but impacted the slopes of constraint lines.
