In situ LA-MC-ICP-MS and ID-TIMS U-Pb ages of bastnäsite-(Ce) and zircon from the Taipingzhen hydrothermal REE deposit: New constraints on the later Paleozoic granite-related U-REE mineralization in the North Qinling Orogen, Central China

•Bastnäsite-(Ce) and zircon from the Taipingzhen REE deposit have U-Pb ages of ∼408 Ma.•Partial melting of the lower crustal rocks provided the metallogenic materials.•Late Paleozoic large-scale U-REE mineralization occurred in North Qinling Orogen.
