Abstract
The uncertainty of wind power is an important factor that affects its rapid development. This uncertainty causes the reserves it provides to the system through derating are also uncertain. Uncertain reserve support will affect the effect of frequency regulation. This paper estimates the reserve support provided by wind power from the perspective of wind power probability distribution, and evaluates the reserve capacity of the system when considering the uncertainty of wind power. In addition, from the perspective of making full use of wind energy, this paper points out that wind farms provide reserves through abandoning the wind in a non-periodic manner. By accurately assessing its frequency regulation capability, wind power can participate in system frequency regulation more effectively.
