Abstract
•Ni-Mn-Sn-B ribbons were fabricated by melt spinning tecnique.•Evaporation of Mn was prevented by boron addition.•Magnetic field induced martensitic transformation was observed in the ribbons.•Large electrical resistivity change was seen during the martensitic transformation.•The results showed that Ni-Mn-Sn shape memory ribbons could be used in magnetic sensor technologies.
