摘要

•Isobenzothiophene bridged compounds with enhanced two photon absorption (2PA) properties were synthesized and investigated.•Efficient electron-transporting and delocalization properties of isobenzothiophene ring facilitated their 2PA performance.•One of these isobenzothiophene bridged compounds was proved to be a promising candidate for bioimaging application.
