Abstract
A large number of electric vehicles (EV) connected to the active distribution network has an impact on the safe and economic operation. The output volatility of the distributed generation (DG) affects the course of vehicle-to-grid (V2G). EV could be a load when active power is enough and a power supply when active power is lack, suppressing voltage fluctuation and providing reserve supply. The operation of grid can be safe and economic. The capacity of new energy generation to grid can be improved. First, an optimization method for mixed integer second-order cone is proposed and the optimal objective function is established with minimal network loss. Then, based on the charge and discharge capacity constraints, EV with different power limit and reactive power compensation is connected to grid. Finally, the changes of network loss and voltage can be analyzed by simulation and the best charging and discharging process of EV in 24 hours is studied out. The research provides some reference for distribution network operation planners.
