摘要

•PIV measurement and CFD simulation of water flow of a settler were studied.•RANS turbulence models were tested to predict the water flow inside the settler.•BSL-RSM model showed good consistence with experimental data.•Multiphase simulations with the Eulerian-Eulerian model were performed.•Separation efficiency in the sedimentation tank was investigated for various sizes of solid particles.
