New bicyclic [3.2.1] octane neolignans derivatives from Aniba firmula with potent in vivo anti-inflammatory activity on account of dual inhibition of PGE2 production and cell recruitment

•Two new and one known bicyclic neolignan derivatives were isolated from Aniba firmula.•The compounds demonstrated potent in vivo anti-inflammatory activity.•These neolignans exhibited the potential for development as new anti-inflammatory drugs.
