Abstract

a compact resonant slotted-cavity antenna that using TE506 high-order mode is studied in this paper. Resonant cavity has high power capacity that is well applied in HPM (high power microwave). High-order mode excited in the resonant cavity has no requirements to use mode converters and power divider. TE506 mode has the merit of improving equalization performance of pattern and cross-polarization rejection. Electric magnetic simulation software CST demonstrates the high performance of this novel antenna based on TE506 mode.
